Luphara
The Luphara are a canine-like cousin to both Gnolls and Tabaxi, with some scholars believing them to be a hybrid offshoot of the two. Their outward appearance is of a fur-covered, tall-standing, dog-like race, with sharp sight and keen senses. They are natural pack hunters, with a strong affinity for socialising and forming bonds. The Luphara, unlike other more animalistic manual races, hold a strong affinity for the skies and are considered some of the best mechanics and engineers of Skyships and other sky-bound vehicles.
Pact HuntersLuphara are social hunters, preferring to only engage in combat if backed up by other members of their social unit. This makes them great in groups, but poor in one-on-one combat, with most Luphara preferring to disengage or flee if forced to fight solo.Ingenuous Engineers The Luphara are all incredibly adept at engineering and construction, with many becoming highly proficient engineers working on air and skyship maintenance and design. There is no clear evolutionary reason as to why they have such an affinity for these skills; however, it's clear that Luphara are superior to most races in this regard.Luphara NamesLuphara tend to adopt names of whatever society or social group they are most affiliated with. In most cases, they adopt human-like names but have been known to adopt names from Elves, Dwarfs, and Fae.
